According to our statistics, less than 1% of patients experience these complications: infection (0.2%), bleeding (0.8%), need for further surgery (1%), seroma (2%) and hematoma (0%). In addition, there are other risks associated with any surgical procedure such as anesthesia complications and blood clots although these are rare events as well.
How will it feel after surgery?
You will be given pain medication before surgery so that you don’t feel any discomfort during the procedure. Once you wake up from anesthesia, your surgeon will go over post-operative instructions with you before releasing you from hospital care.
